Carol Louise's Story
I'm getting excited about coming to the 50th! I now live in Rochester, Mich. In January 1966 I married Stan Zimny, class of '60. We've been married now 46 years.
We have two children, married, both in the area. Jennifer, 40, has 2 girls, and Matt, 37, also has 2 girls.
I graduated from San Diego State in 1966. I taught school for awhile in San Diego, then Stan and I were transferred to several different places around the U.S. due to his job.
My parents stayed in their original home in San Diego till they passed away. Up until that time (2011) I was frequently in San Diego. I sold thei...Expand for more
r home this year, so reasons to return to San Diego are diminishing.
An interesting story: my dad loved going to IHOP in San Diego on Fridays, by himself, after Mom died. It turns out a very dear waitress there was one of my classmates - Sherry Menches! She was always so sweet to my dad - turns out he reminded her of her own dad. I'm looking forward to seeing her at the reunion.
My interests include gardening, babysitting grandkids, and church projects.
I'm sure we're all going to find out we have a great deal in common, all being at relatively the same place in our lives. Should be fun.
